I don’t know, I get really sick and tired of feminists lately.  Well, okay, it’s not really their being feminists, it’s their whole “The media is making everyone miserable and feel bad about themselves!” thing.  I mean really, mind your own god damn business, I am a woman and I am quite happy in the world we live in.  In case they didn’t notice, the world is never going to be fair.  Hell, their version of the world isn’t fair at all.  Not all the problems of the world are to be put on man.  It’s just another bunch of stupid people that don’t want to take the blame and put that blame on people they don’t like.  When the world has problems, it is not just a specific group of people to blame.  If there is something that is bad in our society, it is the blame of all the people.  If we don’t like it, why do we continue to do it?

“Oh, the media is to blame by making unrealistic images and pressuring people to look like that!” uh, no.  The media has no control over personal taste.  If people truly believe what they say when they say “Big is beautiful” and “Embrace who you are, healthy is beauty”, then why don’t people but magazines or go to movies with people who fit this stereotype of “normal and healthy”?  I’ll tell you why.  Because people don’t find that beautiful.  The media doesn’t define what’s beautiful.  Remember, in the 1950s, women with curves were extremely popular (36DD breasts).  The media didn’t post pictures of ultra thin women during this time, they posted pictures of curvy, busty, big booty women.

But why did it change from curvy to skinny?  Because our preferences changed.  We didn’t want those kind of women anymore or not as much.  Humans are never satisfied with just staying the same.

Also, we noticed something about big breasts.  When you are designing clothes, they get in the way.  Just like with painting, you want your canvas to be flat so that whatever design you want for your painting does not get distorted.  It is the same with clothing.  People trying to observe the style, mood, and feel of the clothes the designer is trying to create, are definitely going to be distracted by D-cup breasts.  There is no hiding those wonderful gifts from god.  They are going to make an appearance and show off, which is something fashion designers don’t want to happen.

Besides, it’s not just women who feel the pressure to look good.  There has been a dramatic increase in the number of males that are falling prey to eating disorders and bad body image, but what do we say to them?  “Ah suck it up you pansy” and “Women had to deal with that for a long time” or “Just take some steroids or something”, which are usually said in a sarcastic tone, but just like with women, this isn’t something to be taken lightly.

We have also put pressure that men no longer have to have stability money wise, they also have to have some sort of sexual appeal.  It’s this change that caused the increase.  Yet, this doesn’t get fought over as much as for women.  Why?  Simply put, you are seen as a pig if you feel sorry for a man.

Look, to those who are feminists, I’m sorry if I said anything that you didn’t like.  I’m not trying to be mean.  I’m just tired of hearing this message over and over again when it’s not even an issue.  Once there is a true change in human preference on body type, will only then the media will change and photograph a different type of beauty.  The media doesn’t care about whether or not they are promoting a healthy body image, they just want money.  And if photos of skinny women make them money, they are going to use photos of skinny women.

It’s a hard world to live in.  Recession is tough, and these are not the times that will lead to changes in fashion and beauty.  In fact, it is usually during economic hardship that we will hang on tighter to the old beliefs of beauty.
